Introducing Doorway Valet: Premier Trash Valet Service for Your Community

Premium amenity for multi-family housing where residents place bagged trash and recyclables outside their door during a designated time. A valet collects the bags nightly or several times a week, transporting them to community dumpsters, eliminating the need for residents to haul trash themselves.

Implementation Tips & Considerations

Container Distribution

Launch with a “Resident Appreciation Day” or orientation event.  Provide brochures or door-hanger reminders detailing how to use the service (when to set out, what types of bags, recycling rules.

Standardized Containers & Labeling

Use identical bins/labels so valets can easily identify what belongs to the service.

Consistency & Reliability

Nightly or consistent schedule is critical for resident trust.

Service Quality & Staffing

Use trained, insured, background-checked valets, in uniforms, to reflect professionalism.

Recycling & Bulk Items

If recycling is offered, clearly label and schedule it.  Also decide whether bulk item pickup (furniture, mattresses)  is included or handled separate.

How it works

Container Distribution

Upon launch, each unit receives a standardized trash container

(e.g. 13-gallon bin or bag receptacle).

Resident Sets Out Trash

Each evening residents place their trash cans (and separate recyclables, if provided) outside their door.

Collection by Valet

The valet team visits each unit, empties the container via leak-proof satchels or carts, and returns the bin (if reusable) to the resident’s doorway.

Transport & Disposal

The collected trash is taken to the on-site dumpster, compactor, or recycling bins.

Missed Pickup Follow-up

If any unit is missed (due to obstruction, late set-out, etc.), the system flags it so the team can return and remedy.
